How do I place an order?
Our website is a 100% secure e-commerce site. You may place an order 24 hours a day on our secure website.
Can I place an order over the phone instead?
Sorry but we cannot take orders over the phone. To prevent errors, all orders need to be placed on-line using our secure order system.
What happens after you receive my order? How long does the process take? Please explain.
When SCF receives your order during the business week, it will be processed within 24 business hours or less.
- We verify that you have provided all the information that we requested. We will contact you if anything is missing or incorrect. Please make sure you give us an e-mail address that is checked often or a phone number that you can be reached. If we cannot reach you, your order will be slowed.
- We check name availability with the state filing agency (available in most states).
- We draft your document and prepare all required copies and checks.
- If you have chosen the Standard Package, we will send your document directly to the state for filing. If you have purchased the Federal Express option to and from the state filing agency, your document will be sent via Federal Express. Otherwise, it will be send via first class mail.
- If you have chosen the Standard Express Package, we will either utilize an expedited service that the state agency provides or if unavailable, we will send your document to a courier service. They will hand walk your document to the state filing agency for filing. You will have the option to buy an expedited package. You will notice the state turnaround times next to each package. For example, the Delaware Secretary of State takes an average of 40 business days to process non-rush orders. If you purchase the Standard Expedite package, the Delaware Secretary of State takes an average of 7 business days to process a rush order. This time frame does not include the first 24 hours of order processing, mail time (to and from the Secretary of State), or any additional services you have ordered. The turnaround times mentioned ONLY apply to how long the Secretary of State will take to process your document. Please contact us with any questions you may have regarding turnaround times.
- Once your document has been filed and it has been received back in our office, we will scan a copy of the document for you to view on line. Simply go to check order status.
- We will begin processing any additional items you have purchased. For example: if you have ordered the EIN form preparation, we begin processing the document within 24 business hours. Once completed, we will scan the document on line for you to view under check order status. Then we will return all your documentation back to you using the method you have chosen.
- If you have ordered a Corporate Kit, due to custom work, you will receive your customized kit under separate cover in 3-5 business days.
- All documents will be returned via Federal Express, 2nd day air. You will have the option to upgrade up to Priority overnight for an additional fee.
How can I view my order details?
Simply login on from our homepage using your e-mail and password. Your password can be found on your order receipt. If you have forgotten your password, please e-mail us at custserv@suncorpfilings.com and after verification, we will give you your password so you can login.
NOTE: Once we receive your filed document back from the state filing agency, we will scan a copy of it and upload it to order center. To view the document(s), simply login and your documents will be there in PDF format. You must have an Adobe PDF reader in order to view the files.
Why can’t you guarantee how long it will take for my document to be filed?
Although we do our best to estimate the turnaround time based on our experience with each state agency, it is impossible for us to guarantee exactly how long it will take the state agency to file your document for the following reasons:
- The state agency is an independent government agency unrelated to us. We have absolutely no control over government agencies. We simply act as a liaison between you as the client and the government agency for the sake of incorporating your business.
- With any bureaucracy, everything takes longer.
- The filing agency is run by an elected official and state employees. Most state employees do not get reprimanded if they move slowly, nor do they receive any extra incentive to move fast. Some states are better then others. The slowest states are Arizona and California.
- Government agencies tend to observe all state and federal holidays and therefore, lose processing time because their office is closed.
- Government agencies tend to have volatile computer systems that can sometime go down for a week. This happened in Colorado last year and we all had to wait for the computers to work again.

How can I get my document filed faster?
First off, we process your order within 24 business hours. Some incorporating service companies process your order at their leisure. Secondly, please utilize our rush services below:
- Order the Standard Express or Premium Package for rush filing services - When these packages are purchased, we either have a person hand walk your filing into the state filing agency or utilize state rush programs.
- Purchase FedEx to and from the state filing agency – We will send your document using FedEx overnight directly to the state or to a person who will hand walk your filing into the state. Once the document is filed, either the state filing agency or courier will return the filed document back to our office using FedEx.
- Purchase FedEx priority overnight upgrade for your final package – We will send your final package to you using FedEx priority overnight (next morning delivery) instead of FedEx 2nd day (afternoon delivery).
Why am I required to pay $22.00 for Federal Express? Please explain.
Answer:
- Federal Express guarantees delivery on the 2nd business day. We want to make sure you receive your document fast so you can start your business.
- After spending your money on our services and state fees, it would be a tragedy if we sent your final package via First class mail and it was lost by the postal service.
- FedEx generates a tracking number that would allow you to track the package. You could verify when we sent the package to you and you can make sure you are available for delivery. If we used First class mail, we could not prove that we sent your document to you.
- FedEx provides proof of delivery that ensures us that you received your document. If we used First class mail, there is no proof of delivery and if you did not receive the package, you could not prove that it never arrived.
- Although rare, if FedEx lost your package, it would be insured up to $100.00. First Class mail offers no insurance.
- Our Merchant Services Provider requires that we provide proof of delivery for any services purchased using your credit card.
